About HBM

PT Hayuning Bhumi Makmur (HBM) is an innovative waste management company based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, focused on converting organic waste into valuable resources. Addressing the urgent environmental crisis caused by unmanaged waste, HBM provides sustainable solutions to reduce environmental harm and promote resource efficiency, using  black soldier fly (BSF) larvae.

Why Black Soldier Fly?

The Black Soldier Fly (BSF) is an efficient waste converter, turning organic waste into high-quality protein in a short life cycle. Its larvae are used as a sustainable protein source for animal feed, aquaculture, and potentially human consumption, while also helping reduce waste volume significantly.

Waste Management

Organic waste contributes to greenhouse gases like methane and pollutes water and soil. Proper management is crucial to reduce environmental impact. HBM’s efforts in managing organic waste at Hyatt Regency not only support sustainability but also help preserve the environment, enhancing the tourism experience by promoting clean and eco-friendly practices.

Refuse what you do not need; reduce what you do need; reuse what you consume; recycle what you cannot refuse, reduce, or reuse; and rot (compost) the rest.
